Born and raised in Gisborne, Aotearoa New Zealand, Jamil Śabda lived his truth fearlessly, a life that inspired, impacted his generation and built community. As a DJ he delivered high-energy, multi-genre sets that stuck, drawing from RnB, House, UKG, Jungle and DnB. As a budding promoter his passion was bringing people together in genuine connection.

The name “Jamil Śabda” meaning "beautiful sound" in Arabic and Sanskrit, reflects his approach behind the decks and in life. He is part of the Parallel Layers collective (Auckland), and created NoMoney4You as a catalyst for free, inclusive events, genuine connection, social justice and a rethink of the music industry. #JamilForever
